“I was sitting at home, bored and alone in Barcelona, never thinking that this is what it would be.“ - Carla Pérez Vas
Don‘t let Mourn fool you with their adorable adolescence.
Despite the name, they‘re not another black cladded band trying to exude cool in Saint Laurent. Instead, the only black you’ll find them sporting are the straight edge X‘s stamped on their hands. Ranging in age from 15-18 years young, they‘re a colorful crew of Catalans with authentic swagger, channeling the ghosts of musics past with sonic nods to PJ Harvey and the Pixies to prove their chops.
During their first-ever trip to the States, they explored Greenpoint with bright eyes and a curiosity as big as their infectious smiles. Their taste of Brooklyn came in the form of pizza at Fornino, a trip to the Captured Tracks record shop and a packed show with a cheering crowd at Baby’s All Right.
A city full of strangers took Mourn in with open arms, completing an experience that Carla and the rest of her bandmates could have never dreamt of while back home.

About Stories
Starting from a love of music and film, and wanting to collaborate with those involved, Stories has been the ultimate passport in navigating the world of creatives and their craft. Each project has opened the door to an opportunity that at one time felt out of reach. Moments have been shared, experiences gained, and friendships fostered all through Stories. The freedom of this personal project has given me the chance to express my own abilities alongside those whose work has had an effect on me. Time and time again, Stories has proven that sharing is the true gift of collaboration.
