If Libe Barer's face looks familiar to you, it's probably because she seems to be popping up just about everywhere. Libe's appeared in iCarly, Grey's Anatomy, Parenthood, and most recently Amazon's Sneaky Pete. In Pete, she plays the strong-willed, mischievous Carly. A character navigating through the growing pains of life and the only person seemingly perceptive to Marius' (Giovanni Ribisi) false identity game.

You Must Remember is a brilliant podcast. I’m fascinated by old Hollywood and this podcast is all its secrets and forgotten histories. They tell stories from the days of MGM and the studio system, to tracing the history of the iconic blonde women of Hollywood, to even the Charles Manson murders as was affected by / reflective of the culture of Hollywood at the time. It’s brilliant!
One Hundred Years of Solitude is one of my favorite books of all time. I’ve come back to it at different times in my life. It always holds different meanings for me, and I love hearing how it impacts others. It’s just a beautiful story.
Community is very important to me in all aspects of my life. My group of best friends and I have been each other’s support system since high school. We’ve been through so much together they’re really a second family. As for community in career, the industry can be so cold and harsh I really think the only way to stay sane in it is by having allies, and preferably good friends. That’s why it’s so wonderful to have a cast that’s so close. Sneaky Pete has been such a ride going from being a CBS pilot in 2015 to shooting our second season for Amazon. It feels kind of like we’ve been to war together, and we’ve kept in close contact every step of the way. I’m really grateful to have a cast of such wonderful supportive people. Not to mention they’re all brilliant actors so getting to work with them is like an acting lesson every day.
There’s no “right thing” everyone is supposed to do, or experiences everyone needs to have. People give advice through the filter of their own desires, regrets, etc. It's your life do whatever makes you happy and feels right to you. Also, read more on history and study activism because in 2017 our government is going to turn on its head and you have to be prepared for the shit storm.
When we were shooting the pilot for Sneaky Pete, the first scene the family had together was the dinner scene at the end. We were shooting late and were all delirious and loopy. Peter (Gerety) and Margo (Martindale) started singing Irish folk songs (Although I couldn’t tell you to this day what exactly they were singing). But we sat around the table laughing and singing until we finished the scene in the middle of the night.

About Stories
Starting from a love of music and film, and wanting to collaborate with those involved, Stories has been the ultimate passport in navigating the world of creatives and their craft. Each project has opened the door to an opportunity that at one time felt out of reach. Moments have been shared, experiences gained, and friendships fostered all through Stories. The freedom of this personal project has given me the chance to express my own abilities alongside those whose work has had an effect on me. Time and time again, Stories has proven that sharing is the true gift of collaboration.
