Reunited after 10 years the band invited fans to Woodstock for an unforgettable experience

Have you ever thought what it would be like to witness one of your favorite bands record their new album? How about having dinner with them and talking about your favorite old school WWF matches? Oh, and what if that band is putting out a new record for the first time in a decade? After ten years, Team Sleep are reuniting and they invited fans out to Woodstock, NY to experience something special.

The Woodstock Sessions at Applehead Recording are much more than just watching an artist go through the recording process - it’s an experience. Connecting and interacting within the intimate setting becomes a part of the process. Fans got to watch each member of Team Sleep lay down their individual parts, listen to playbacks alongside the engineers inside the control room and they even got to flip through Chuck X’s personal musical journal.

During dinner (that Mac and Cheese!), fans from all over the world traded stories about their mutual music and cultural connections. Every few minutes I would hear somebody say “I can’t believe they’re right here.” Before you knew it, that same person was having a mouthful of conversation with a member of the band, discussing everything but music. Watching those lines between “friend” and “fan” blur was my highlight of the day.

After the last bit of apple pie was gone, the band played a live set bathed in projections, which made the vibe even more dreamlike. As the set unfolded fans got to hear a mix of old with new and the divide between performer and audience once again grew smaller. Eventually becoming non-existent.

What started out as a day of getting to meet the unmeetable became the reawakening of a band alongside a few new friends.
